Quickbooks Export Now in Beta Testing

DataTrak Business Solutions, Inc. would like to announce that beta testing has commenced for the DataTrakPOS Export utility.  This announcement markets the start of what we hope to be a thriving 3rd party application market for DataTrakPOS software.  Through the use of the OpenPOS Server developed by DataTrak Business Solutions, Inc, 3rd party developers can now integrate 3rd party products such as the new Quickbooks Export with ease while maintaining security within your DataTrakPOS System.

DataTrakPOS Launches New Help Ticketing System

DataTrak Business Solutions, Inc. announces new web based Help Ticket System.  The new help system, developed in-house offers DataTrakPOS customers a fast and convenient way to submit help tickets.  While many commercial offerings were evaluated, DataTrak has chosen to write it's own help ticket system in-house which provides for easier customization as our needs and the needs of our customers change over time.

DataTrakPOS Partners with Affinity Data Services for Gift Card and Loyalty Processing Systems.

DataTrak Business Solutions proudly announces a partnership with Affinity Data Services to offer fast, secure Gift Card and Loyalty processing through hosted services.  For a low monthly fee, DataTrakPOS customers can design their own Gift Card and Loyalty Card processing system complete with custom rewards triggers, automatic email notification and more.

DataTrakPOS has completed the integration with Affinity Data Services including Gift Card Issuance as well as custom point awarding through the DataTrakPOS system for your customers.

DataTrakPOS Integrates with Mercury Payment Systems

DataTrak would like to announce that full integration with Mercury Payment Systems (MPS) is complete.  MPS provides credit, debit, check, loyalty and gift card services for the restaurant and retail industries.  DataTrakPOS received official Certification from Mercury Payment Systems today for credit card processing.  Gift and Loyalty integration is planned before the start of 2006.

9 September 2005 - DataTrak Releases New CCMidware

DataTrak is pleased to announce a new release of the CCMidware Server (formerly UPSMidware).  CCMidware is a server application that accepts credit card transaction requests from DataTrakPOS Point of Sale software stations and submits the request to a supported 3rd party credit card software.  Currently, support for Cambire software is provided.  SDC Southern Datacom software interface is supported internally within the POS software.  Plans are to provide support for PCCharge and Mercury Payments Systems to the CCMidware server by start of 2006. 

"CCMidware allows us to separate the software logic required to interface with specific 3rd party credit card processing software from the software logic of DataTrakPOS.  This relieves us of having to change the source code of the POS software every time we integrate with a new credit card processing solution.  This means stable software for DataTrak and more choices for our customers"

DataTrakOpen Server Case Study

IQWare, a leading Property Management System provider and integrated partner of DataTrakPOS, had a problem.  While DataTrakPOS integrates seamlessly with the IQWare system in posting restaurant/sundry charges to hotel guest room folios, its quite common for a hotel guest to question or ask for validation of purchases they may have made at the hotel restaurant which runs DataTrakPOS software.  Because the DataTrakOpen server is extensible, it was minor work to provide a way for hotel front desk personnel using IQWare's flagship Property Management Software to get the information they needed.

By making a single call to the DataTrakOpen server, IQWare can now retrieve a complete description of any sale that was posted within the DataTrakPOS system in XML format.  Line Items, Discounts, Payments, Profit Center, Totals, Taxes and every other aspect of the sale is provided in the single call to the DataTrakOpen server.  IQWare then uses the data returned from the DataTrakOpen Server to create a report/invoice on screen from within the IQWare system which can be easily printed out.  Integration with DataTrak's DataTrakOpen Server saves IQWare customers time and expense and the process of checking out is made more streamlined for Hotel guests.
